Amazing deal
A property hit the MLS today which caught my eye. Usually before I call the listing agents I research the title at the registry's website. I find out a deed was recently recorded about 2 weeks ago where the consideration was 12k.
The prior conveyance was for 27k back in the 90s.
What seller in their right mind sells something for so cheap. 12k????
The town has it assessed at 169k. Granted the place is a dump but not a 12k dump. Its current list price is actually a fair market value price.
Turns out the listing agent is was the buyer and he has found 5 of these off market deals this year where the spread was over 100k.
Can anyone guess why the seller let it go for so little?
