I was looking to buy a rental property in Gainesville it seems like the rent to property ratio is very attractive. Any advice on the area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If your looking for a rental condos for college students I would stay on the "college" streets. SW 62nd, SW 20th, SW 35th, university or 13th. If your looking for homes stay near the bus lines and the university and you have a better chance of getting a tenant. The west side is more preferred than the east side of Gainesville because of crime stats. If you have any other questions feel free to call me.
