Hello! I was curious and wanted to know what you all thought about leaving active duty and going to full time REI? Any advice or what you wish you guys did ahead of time? Appreciate all advice!

Being active duty I take for granted the steady pay check the 1st and the 15th unless you have stable base it may be a difficult transition. I personally have 2 years left on my commitment. My goal is to have live on half of my AD pay and make half passive. For example if all mil pay is $6k I want to live on 3k and earn 3k passively. This would allow a comfortable transition. Where the basics are covered by passive income while you build the REI business up. Another thing to think of is ability to get financing. It is very easy when you are active duty with a W2 job. Not so much when your self employed.
