Offer accepted, Bank of NY-Mellon send back completley different

Made best offer on a H&B house. I won, broker accepted my offer. I just got the P&S back, closing date it longer, no inspection, and they want me to pay them the $$$ tomorrow rather than this friday. Seems pretty harsh. They are trying to bully me.

The big question is, if they accepted my offer, do they have to abide by the terms ? Broker said if I don't pay up tomorrow, they will throw me out and sell to the next highest bidder. Anyone ever sued a Bank and won for breach of contract ?

thanks

john

There is no breach of contract here. You do realize the bank didn't sign your initial contract/offer, right? You, and especially your agent, should realize that you make your offer on your state approved forms, but Every bank has their own addendum to that contract, 3 to 10 pages usually, that overrides the standard contract. Most of these can be found online somewhere if your agent doesn't have copies of them from previous deals, if they weren't already uploaded into the MLS by the listing agent. They have their own preset timelines for escrow deposits, inspections, etc. Trying to get something different than that is fruitless. It's a take it or leave it decision generally.
