Form LLC on my own or through an attorney?

We're closing on our first multi family property in a few days and will be forming our LLC soon to put our other rentals and this one in it. LLC members will be my husband and me. Is there any benefit to use an attorney to create the LLC or just do it on legal zoom?

There are a number of benefits to using an attorney over legal zoom. Legal zoom only provides basic forms that will allow you to establish your LLC. That doesn't mean that you are getting the most for your money by using Legal Zoom. Legal zoom doesn't rise to the level of independent counsel who can advise you on what steps you must take to keep your LLC status, to avoid lawsuits, and whether or not an LLC is actually right for you. Do not rely on "do it fast" self-help forums. The law is not DIY, or at least not if you want to avoid costly mistakes that could cost you your retirement. Seek out a local attorney.
