North Carolina Newbie now interested in multi family units.
I've only been a part of this community for about 24 hours and have learned more here for free than I have with the few thousand I've spent in the past year! (Definitely stepping up to pro.) I'm almost finished reading the beginner guide and man, what awesome info!!
I was initially told by a "guru" to only focus on single family homes, but I am now VERY interested in multi family units and would love to know more from anyone who has some experience.
I was previously told not to get a real estate license and not use MLS for anything because you can't find deals there, but now I'm not sure if I believe that.
Taking the real estate class here in my town (Goldsboro, NC) beginning in July.
Thanks in advance for any replies! :-)

@Fe Kelly There is opportunity everywhere. MLS is competitive, but that doesn't mean you won't find a deal there. Congrats on taking the step toward getting your license. There is no reason to be discouraged from doing that. If anything, you will learn the law, contracts and how to keep yourself out of trouble.
