Hey I was curious when closing a wholesale deal, here in Rhode Island, if one would go through a title company or if an attorney would do

Jerrel, here in Rhode Island, and mostly on the east coast as I understand it, we use attorneys; they usually do the closings and coordinate everything including the title insurance.

Using title companies to do the closings is, as I understand it, mostly a west coast kind of thing. (I've never done a survey but I wonder if maybe the split follows the mortgage vs. deed of trust divide :)

If you actually have a deal you're working on and want a good real estate attorney I can recommend a few, but most of them are very busy (like good contractors) so they'd rather wait until someone has a deal under contract than spend time with tire kickers.

(Not saying you're just a tire kicker, it's just a sentiment several good real estate attorneys have expressed to me.)
