Hi I am looking to buy my first rental property I live in Tampa, FL and will travel a little for a good deal. Does anyone have any good ideas of hot beds that I can look for properties in. And does anyone have an opinion on whether to buy a single family Home or condo for a first rental property thank you for all the help.

I personally don't care for condos. You have others that can dictate rental times, etc and they can changes rules. Even some HOA can cause problems. Recently showed an attached villa where the HOA changed rules and no longer allows rentals. This forced the owner to list the property for sale. There is no right or wrong..only opinions. Look at your options and decide what is best. As far as where to invest, your own back yard. You can self manage and safe PM fees.
