HUD deals can be lucrative if you learn the system. Searching on the BP for countless topics on buying a HUD house will net many of the unwritten systems that there are about buying from HUD. Our company buys quite a few. They are very easy to place an offer on and you typically get a response the next business day. A couple of our quick HUD strategies: First, make them an offer that you would be thrilled with, but isnt entirely too low. They will counter with the "lowest acceptable net price" the next business day...then you can decide on it. Secondly, watch the days on market. They typically lower their price about every thirty days. We like to present offers around day 28 because the asset manager usually will consider our offer based upon the upcoming price...this way we can avoid some competition. Best wishes
