While driving for dollars I came across a area in Charlotte that for years was known as a section 8/ low income area near Johnson c. smith(biddelville) .Now it has homes with values of 400k, many investors in the area know that the noda area and areas where the light rail is going through will be a great investment. I've recently heard that areas around the Charlotte Douglas airport is a great place to buy because there are plans for devolpment. So because of this I was wondering what areas in Charlotte area up and coming?

I live off of I485 exit 36 in Harrisburg. This area is exploding with new construction.  Now that the loop is complete on the north side of town I think any areas close to 485 are going to do well. Keep an eye on Mint Hill. Also the light rail will go all the way up to UNCC by 2017 so we are seeing an explosion of growth in that area too.
