Homes for Sale increase will stabilize/lower Purchase Price$

This morning Boston Globe 9/13/2015:

Home sales likely to stay strong this fall

Based on the number of Massachusetts homes coming on the market 7,524. the most since mid 2007.

This was supposed to ease prices (Supply vs Demand economics) However it looks as if prices are still increasing???
