We are thinking of buying a rental beach house or bay side house in the  Galveston / Crystal Beach area. Does anyone have some good information on the recent insurance ratings, building codes or any other news of pertaining those areas. Also if anyone has experience with beach rentals in the Crystal beach/Galveston area I would like learn more about the vacation rental environment in the area.

Hello everyone, I own a vacation home in Galveston and have been extremely successful in renting it out year round. It's just a 420sqft condo but it has a kitchen and a full bathroom. It sleeps 6 and I can't tell you enough how happy I am with my investment. I have lots of great reviews from my tenants. I owed it for 3 years now. I was living in Houston at the time I purchased it, so it was an hour and half drive drive max. I have a cleaning crew and a online company that gets all my bookings for me. If I could get approved, I would get more. Galveston is so much nicer now than 5 years ago and more affordable than any beach area in the USA. The beaches have been cleaned, bathrooms are close, and the entertainment is like no other. I walk to the rainforest cafe with my 3 kids all the time and there's a new carnival year round right on the beach. Cruise ships are close by and the strand is a must see. Hotels are so expensive now and you don't always get beach front or a kitchen. I am only sharing my input because I believe it's a secret most people don't know about. After renting mine for 2 years, I said "I need to get my real estate license and do this for a living " It make me proud to see my clients get a beach front place of their own at such affordable prices. The renters pay the mortgage and there's still a profit. This is hard to come by. I don't know the rules on this site about business but I'll be happy to help anyone who's interested. I have helped clients buy 3 in the last 4 months and they are so happy. I'm happy to awnser any questions you have about buying in Galveston. I'm extremely honest and have the connections to help you have this dream investment.
