Real Estate Team
When people refer to a real estate "team," are they meaning to describe a close group of individuals they work with, or is there an actual legal/business connotation to the term?

@Joshua Chen They are referring to individuals you work with. Realtor, attorney, contractor, CPA, etc. It is over-emphasized in my opinion. A team is important but it is a distraction from getting started.
Only put a team together if it is not a distraction from your most immediate need.
What do you need to get started? Need education? Focus on that and maybe finding a mentor. Need to buy a rental? Find a realtor or wholesalers. Have a house that needs work? Find a contractor. Need a closing attorney or title company? Find them when you need them.
If doing step 2 or 3 or 4 ever gets in the way of doing step 1, drop it.
