Out of state Investor OR out of state SUCKER ?

Warning... This is a mini rant.

I have had this happen more than once but today it just really bothers me for some reason. A "wholesaler" that is in our area has repeatedly tried to sell us deals that are not his. His comment today was that they typically deal to out of state investors. I dont want to get into any kind of debate on if it is or if it isn't legal but this is part of the problem for folks who say that wholesaling is illegal. There is no value being added by people like that. The kind of people who get on BP and "wholesale" deals from the MLS or present another wholesalers deal as their own really are pathetic and I know that all wholesalers aren't like that but bad news spreads faster than good news so the good ones get a bad rap because of it. With all this talk on BP for out of state, even out of the country, investing I'm curious how many people get screwed and either dont know it yet or dont want to come back and talk about it.

So are there any out of state suckers who would care to share? Should we out these people locally? What is the right thing to do?
