So I have a duplex, and realize that I bought retail.  Working on a line of credit that should give me about 55k to play with.  I would really like to buy and then remodel and resell.  From what I understand this seems to be my best next step…Right?

you own a duplex? Paid a little too much but it is rented? Why not use the line of credit to buy a couple cheap houses. Get them rented. Then go to the bank and get a term note for as much as you can against all three properties and use the excess cash to buy another property or two. Build a rental empire.
