Developing a Power Team
I am new to Bigger Pockets & first try in posting anything.
Planning to transition from one career of 30 years to a field I am actually interested in. To help move forward quickly & successfully it makes sense to have access to professionals with key skills in all things real estate.
I am looking for recommendations of realtors, lawyers, accountants with RE investing focus.
I have current interests in finding SFRs in the Santa Rosa/Windsor/Healdsburg area & El Dorado County (primarily Camden Park), Would appreciate any recommendations & advice for a newbie in real estate investing.
Thanks!

Hey Rob,
You are right here on Bigger Pockets and this is a terrific place to start. I just recently made some wonderful contacts in my local area through a bigger pockets search of other local BP members. You will be amazed how quickly you can find people here. REIA meetings or other Real Estate meetups are also networking extravaganzas and great ways to find resources and create lasting relationships. I am a veterinarian and often while I am squeezing Fluffy's intestines, I will have a few moments to chat with a client. This is a way to breakdown the white coat barrier that people sometimes have with Doctors of any ilk. I have met realtors, mortgage brokers, other investors, and maybe a private investor or two all because I asked them the question, "What do you do for a living?" After we finish up our veterinary business I will hand them a business card and ask them if they would like to chat about real estate opportunities away from my veterinary practice. Develop an elevator pitch (for ideas search here on BP) and get comfortable telling every Tom, Dick, Harry, Martha, Betty, and Kate about what you do! You will get contacts or referrals galore.
Hope this helps!
Howie
