Would you hold a furniture sale at your new investment property?

I was lucky (maybe not so) that the seller included all the furniture with the sale. The thing is, I will be looking for a tenant who will likely bring in their own furniture. At least that's the way I plan on marketing the unit.

Do you guys have any qualms about an 'open house' for people to come and buy any furniture they like. Any safety issues with this? (The area overall is safe). Maybe it will spark some lead/future tenant? I think there is #1-3k worth of furniture there if sold on sale. What are your thoughts.
