Radon

hello-

Appreciate any help you can provide.  I know very little about radon.  Working on a rehab with a new contractor.  The home has exposed stone built into the basement (it's built into s rock sal) which I'm told can cause radon problems.  The contractor said he will test for exposure with a short term test.

Should I trust this guy to do it right or hire an independent professional company? Is there room for error?  The contractor is trying to sell me on the deal and therefore has incentive for the test to be  negative.  Thank you

If you do test, you will have to disclose the test results when you sell assuming there is a seller disclosure required (like in PA).
