Special dog room?

Just wondering, if any of you have ever done this or consider doing this?

I think it's a great idea for a higher end house, that has the space. Most people these days have a dog(s).

So, if there's an actual laundry room, I think it wouldn't be so hard to add a doggie-wash and it could really swing the choice

I designed a dog room in one of my houses, attached to the laundry room, which also serves as the pass through from the garage to the kitchen.  I had 3 dogs at the time, and it made perfect sense.  It included a dog wash, rubberized floor and dog door, which accessed a dog run.  Most of the time they had access to the entire back yard, but in bad weather, I could close off the dog run, which was turf.

When I look for homes, one of the non-negotiables on my list is at least a back door that can have a doggie door installed.  If I could find one with a dog room, it's a winner, hands down.
