NEW YORK INVESTORS!!! Can anyone tell me whether there's a NY LAW that requires Lawyers to be used in All Real Estate Transactions?

I wonder if anyone can tell me whether there's "A LAW" in N.Y.C. that requires both sides to be represented in All Real Estate Transactions? If So, can you please cite it to me so I can look it up. Does the language specifically state RE Transactions where there's a "Contract Involved"?
