Real estate Education Recomendations?
I am relatively new to real estate investing and my goal is to start with a househack this year and scale my portfolio over time. I am wondering if anyone would recommend any real estate investing courses, podcasts, books, or any other educational material that has helped them in their own career? I am also in university and am curious if real estate or business minor would help me with investing?
Any advice is appreciated!

Hi Haiden,
Starting with a house hack is a great way to get into real estate investing, and it's awesome that you're thinking about scaling your portfolio over time. In terms of educational resources, there are a lot of great options out there. For books, I'd recommend "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki, which is a great introduction to understanding wealth-building through real estate. Another solid read is "The Millionaire Real Estate Investor" by Gary Keller, which focuses more specifically on real estate strategies.
For podcasts, BiggerPockets is extremely popular and a fantastic resource, especially for beginners. They cover everything from house hacking to scaling up portfolios. You can also check out The Real Estate Guys and The Best Ever Real Estate Show for additional perspectives and insights.
Regarding your university studies, a business or real estate minor could definitely help, but it’s not essential. What really makes the difference in real estate investing is practical knowledge, networking, and hands-on experience. A business minor could give you a good foundation in finance, management, and entrepreneurship, which could be useful in understanding cash flow and scaling your portfolio. But don't feel locked into formal education if your main goal is to get into investing, often the best lessons come from doing it.
Feel free to reach out if you need any advice on financing your house hack or future investments. I'm happy to help!
Regards,
Drago
