I am new investor to the Detroit area and was just looking to connect with some experienced investors or agents in the area. I am a real estate agent and live about 30 minutes from the city, but I haven't done any deals as an investor or agent within the city limits. I am mainly looking to connect with investors, but if you are an agent that works in the city I would still appreciate the market insight.

Hey Lucas, I've been investing in Detroit since 2019 and currently hold 12-doors there.

I've done it all... buying with tenants, Section 8, full gut rehabs (to the studs), cosmetic BRRRR's, and I even run an STR there.

I live in California currently but lived in Troy from 2017-2022. I'm still active in the Detroit market. I have my RE license but primarily focus on off-market deals and helping out of state investors get started there by plugging them into my team and helping them from start to finish do BRRRR deals.

BTW: did you know Detroit has 183 Neighborhoods?

Many investors are used to investing by zip code, but that won't really work in Detroit. Much of Detroit is "block-by-block", but that won't work for OOS investors.

So, we've classified all the Neighborhoods to help investors make more informed decisions.
