Ups and Downs of Condos? Need advice
I'm considering a REI strategy centered around buy and hold, cash flow investing in condos.
I would like to hear from the community what the potential pluses and minuses are with such a strategy. I am aware of some issues but I want to see if our highly experienced BP community can shed some light on things I had not considered.
Thanks everyone!

@Bill Coleman I have thought about going the condo route also. The lower prices are certainly appealing to those of us starting out with limited capital. However, I decided that if I'm going to go to multi-unit properties, I might as well buy a small apartment building - I see several 8-20 unit properties on the MLS all the time. That's sort of the best of both worlds: more control and the costs are spread out over more units. As @K. Marie Poe pointed out, even thought the HOA "covers" the costs in the short term, long term you are still funding your share of repairs/maintenance.
