My favorite months are November and December. At least in my area, those tend to be the slowest months hence you can negotiate the best deals. People have a lot going on during those months due to the holidays thus there are a lot less buyers active in the market which allows you much more freedom to negotiate.

More or less, real estate is cyclical. In the Northeast, the spring and summer months are the busiest and it slows down more during the Fall and Winter, winter being the slowest. This cycle may change depending on the area, but I'd find out your cyclical cycle and choose the months in the slow market where you will find the best deals.
