Recently moved from NYC to London but looking to invest back in DC.

Hi everyone,

This may be a bit out of left field but I'm now living in the UK full-time but my aim is to come back to the US in 2 years once my Visa expires. However I am trying to buy an investment property for the time being in target markets that I think I can ultimately come back to (mostly looking in Denver, CO and Washington DC). Does anyone have any experience with out of country investing / could provide some guidance as to how fully to prepare?

I'm preapproved for a property across both states and have been talking to local lenders, however, I'm nervous that my first property would be somewhere I'm not currently located. Does anyone with more expertise than I, have any advice on the matter?

It would be much appreciated, happy to connect as well. Just looking for a mentor that I could learn from / help in any way I can.

Thank you!

The main thing Id say is hiring a qualified property manager where you do decide to invest.
