Capital Gains on your primary residence?
Hey everyone, had a debate with someone recently and I wanted to verify with all of you. I was told you have to pay capital gains tax on your primary residence and that you can only do a one time tax break to avoid it. I have always been under the impression you never pay tax when you sell your primary residence. Thanks everyone

This is the biggest very-clear tax advantage without much gray area. 2 year and up to 500k if MFJ.
This is the primary reason I keep selling primary aftre hitting 500k.
