@Anna Laud

Hey! My in laws just told us they added our names to the deeds but didnt remove theirs so we wont be taxed. And that they did that so that if they were ever forced into an assisted living facility, private or state, that the facility wouldnt take all of their assets. Im alittle lost here and have no idea if there is any legality to any of this

@Matt Devincenzo

Good point. That was also my suspicion

@Joe Stubbe

Thats interesting I never heard that. Thank you. This person told me theres a one time exception in your lifetime to avoid the tax. I never heard this and dont think its correct. Have you heard anything like this?

@Jaron Walling

Awesome. Good to know thank you

Hey everyone, had a debate with someone recently and I wanted to verify with all of you. I was told you have to pay capital gains tax on your primary residence and that you can only do a one time tax break to avoid it. I have always been under the impression you never pay tax when you sell your primary residence. Thanks everyone

@Kerry Noble Jr

I wanted to find out what the home owner still owes on their mortgage. I figured if a home owner owes more on a property then what it is worth then it wouldnt be worth investing in

Hey everyone, I am looking into investing in tax lien certificates. I want to jump in at a local tax lien auction so I have been educating myself as best I can before doing so. One thing I can not find an answer to so I came to bigger pockets. Does anyone know how to find the current debt a home owner has on a property? Is this public knowledge somewhere? Thanks everyone!
