South Florida question

I am moving to South Florida in January and wanted to ask two questions. One is how is the current market for buying to fix and rent? Is the rental market strong? Second, do you have any in person real estate networking groups you would suggest I attend? Thank you.

Is the rental market here strong-yes. There is competition for buy and hold, as well as buy/fix/flip. The hedges area till buying here, primarily 3/2's in the 100-225k range. Some smaller "hedges" are miximg in the multifamily too. Most of the REIA's are geared toward the buy/fix/flip and wholesale model.
