Hey BP. I don't have a real estate license, but I'm on mls all the time looking for deals. Can someone enlighten me on what info a realtor gets off mls verses what I'm able to view. I'm assuming she ( the realtor ) is privy to much more info on it than I am . Or is her advantage that she see's the properties come up before I ( the public ) am able to view it. Any info on this would certainly be appreciated, so in advance, THANK YOU. :)

Depending on the MLS website you as a consumer are using, the realtor's MLS does update a little faster then zillow, trulia and those types of websites.

My MLS access as a realtor has a lot of different search options. I haven't found a mainstream website that allows me to search with as many different criteria I can search with as a realtor. Realtors can also search sold, pending, expired, and terminated listings where I don't think you can in most public MLS websites.

One other big difference is access to listing brokers comments on the property and attached documents along with the home owners name and phone number. There is also a little bit more information then is listed on the public MLS.
