Another One Bites the Dust!
Call comes in this morning for a mid 1990's 14*76 box, 3 bedroom, 2 bath vinyl/shingle with central a/c, stove, refer, washer, dryer, newer carpet and paint, on a private lot, vacant and ready to roll. The home is located an hr from me. They want to sell because their son used to live there and he committed suicide a year ago.
I tell them I will be there in 1.5 hrs. I eat a bowl of cereal, take a shower and jump in the ol Jeep. I look the home over, lock it up under contract and take a 10 min video, in less than an hour.
I get home, say hi to my wife and, she tells me the neighbors invited over for brats and burgers on the grill. I say "give me one second to send off a quick email and I am ready to rock-I'm starving." I email the video of the home to my buyer, and tell him to give me a call back, right away on my cell if he wants the home. We leave and go to the neighbors.
I won't go on about how good the brats were but, I will say the burger and the strawberry short cake were a great choice for desert. We enjoyed a great meal!
I checked my messages just as Idol was getting going. It was my buyer saying, "I'll take it Marc." I excused myself, ran home, typed up the deal, emailed the Purchase Agreement to the buyer and, called him to verify he got the PA on my way back to the neighbors. He said he did and that the check is on the way. He also said he is looking for a doublewide right away as well. I think I could do this a million times and it would never get old:) I sent him a video of a double wide I locked up two days ago and offered him a great deal before I jumped on BP tonight. I am hoping he will take that one too...
