What is the best and most coist effective 1-800 number service out there.  Please also share your bad experiences with companies as well so I can stay away from them.

@Paul Stout I use Answer First a company from FL. They can answer every call for you. It's I think $1.10 a minute for a 1-800 number, and $19/month. They send the message directly to your cell phone as a text. You could then call the potential customer back using a blocked number. Not sure if this suits what you're looking to accomplish, but the client essentially could never call you directly. You could also set it up as a local number so it looks like you're nearby. I use them to answer after hours calls, so I just set my iPhone to forward to the number they set up for me. I also occasionally give the number out to people I don't want to have my personal number. I am not affiliated with the company, just a satisfied customer.
