1st home new construction appraisal too low! HELP!

Hi I am currently in the process of purchasing my first house. It is a new construction out in CA. It was just appraised for 417k and the sales price is 429k. The builders are getting a redo appraisal right now this week. Has anyone had this happen to them and can tell me what to expect?
