DENVER — A Colorado lawmaker has introduced a bill that he says would make it illegal for landlords and homeowners associations from banning large dogs from apartments or homes.

Replied

I've had large dogs in a couple of my properties, and frankly, they haven't done much damage at all. I'm still waiting for one of them to trash the place, and in fact I didn't even have to replace the flooring in either unit that's been vacated.

For now, I just collect an extra $75 per month per dog, and it's gravy. But, I'm sure that eventually I'll have one of these animals trash the place and need to repaint/reinstall flooring.

Here in Denver, I seem to triple the number of qualified applicants I get, allowing me to market at higher rental prices, and I get pet fees to boot by allowing dogs and cats.
