How to get Rehab estimates

Hi investors i am new to rei and I just wanted to know how do I get rehab estimates and what's the best way to go about it? Thanks in advance all knowledge is appreciated!!

If it's before you buy a property, (and you don't have a contractor friend that could do you a favor) hire a home inspector. Google will help here. Realtors could also make a recommendation.

If it's after you buy the property, get a free estimate from a local contractor. Search on Angie's List or ask around at your local REIA.
