Would you find it valuable to get an alert via PM or email when someone you are following/Colleagues posts in the forums, comments on a blog, posts on their member blog, or posts in the Marketplace? Or some combination thereof?

I would prefer to have it come up when I log in under alerts.  I get way too much spam mail now as it is.  I would not mind an email for a new blog by someone I really like.  We have so many blogs that some get lost in the herd.  We need a way to follow certain people who post.  While it is nice of everyone who shares, some have content much more suited to my situation than others.
