Anyone using Android platform unable to use mention(@)function?

I want to determine if it's just my phone so I can proceed to diagnose it accordingly. If in fact nobody else using Android is able to use the @(member's name) function then, well hopefully it's something they're working on and they see this thread. So... how do you respond Android users?

Note: I'm aware you can only mention someone who is either a colleague or has already participated in your thread.
