How to go back to subscribe to blog updates after you forgot...

...to click either the "notify me of new posts..." or "... follow up comments by email" boxes when you originally commented on a blog? It doesn't seem like you can. Can you? Would be unfortunate as I am quite forgetful and the only other way I can think of so far is to create the same comment and post it again this time checking the desired boxes.
