Glitch in Colleague requests?

Anyone else having issues with that this morning?

I had tried to send a request and it gave me an error about the site being updated or something like that and to try later. I had this happen a few weeks ago and after a little while it worked so I figured there was just some site maintenance going on.

After a while I did try sending again and it said I could not send a message without being a colleague first. I always write a little message in my requests, as suggested on the actual request screen, so I experimented by erasing that content and sending. That worked.

Just curious @Josh Dorkin and @Brandon Turner if this is a glitch or a change in policy.

Also the tags for the "@" aren't working on this tread? Have not been having that issue but have not tried mentioning someone outside of a thread today.
