Finding a Good Contractor

Having issues with my contractor taking too long on 2 flips that he is working on. I have a contract and he has done excellent work in the past. He says that he is having problems with his employees. Any suggestions on how to motivate to get things done faster?

Have you tried incentives to get the job done on time?  If Pennsylvania is anything like Ohio everyone needs a contractor and is willing to pay.
