Southside Chicago General Contractor referalls

Hello BP, My business partner and I are closing on the 2-unit in Englewood at the end of the month. I'm aware of the database of contractors on BP, however I'm looking for those of you who have personally had a good experience with a GC or other trades in this part of town. We'll need the following:

A full service GC with his own subs

OR

Plumber, Electrician, HVAC, siding/gutter, painter, mason

Any recommendations would be helpful

I wish I could help but that is not where I have experience. The database of contractors here on BP is really the HomeAdvisor data, so could access that info directly. Also could try the Chicago Handyman Facebook group.

@Aj Dobson Following this to see any responses. I've found it's extremely hard to find a quality contractor to work in Englewood.

@Aj Dobson it is tough to find quality contractors anywhere in Chicago that are not booked into the new year let alone on the southside. My advise would be drive the neighborhood and find some guys working in the area on a site now and see if you can find some guys that way. You can tell where major rehabs are going on.

Thank you all for the input. We closed and are off to the races with demo. We had a few GC's come out and price and are evaluating next steps. Luckily, it is a light rehab and are realizing we can do much of it ourselves, but will eventually need certain trades to be involved. The search continues!
