Contractor for half done job

I'm interested in what to expect from the contracting community when I take over a project that is a half done total gut rehab/addition.  Rough inspections have been passed; next step is wall board. Will GCs have a reluctance to engage to finish the project even if they will be able to verify the quality of work done so far?

Mark Shelstad What was done before is subject to our personal inspections, some might take a few hundred on top in case something is wrong or hidden, only to cover cost for that. It will be like a fresh contract, just like any other contract, don't expect your new contractor to start blaming the old or start bad mouthing the last one, either to make them look good or simply want more money. If it was me, as long as it passed, I would let it stay that way, minor inspections here and there but that shouldn't take a day before i close anything out -- this means soap test on gas lines and junction boxes. Other than that, on to what's next.
