HELP! GC in ATL area

Hi BP,

Has anyone heard of a Eric Breech working as a general contractor in the Atlanta, GA area. My husband's family hired him for some work to be done on their family home. They're all currently living out the of the state, and my husband learned today that they don't know too much about this general contractor. So apparently they took no references or verification of license. I've searched his name in the GA secretary of state license database and nothing came up. Is there another way tp find out if he's licensed or not?  If he's already done work on the house what does that mean if he isn't licensed? Thanks BP, I appreciate your help!
