CRM Help - Worth it?

Hello All - had my license for a little over a year now and have done like 14m in sales. A majority of my clients have been through word of mouth, referrals, networking on IG and FB, and bigger pockets.

I have only been using excel to keep track of transactions and clients thus far and don't mind it but I think I'm at the point where some leads are starting slip through especially colder ones. My old broker had KV core and i dabbled around in it but in my opinion it was way too involved and took way too much time to figure out and use and i didn't feel like i was getting the value out of it because a lot of my leads/clients are relationships i've had. I've been playing around with Liondesk today and although I do like it, i just feel like the drip campaigns and texting from what is essentially a google number feels impersonal.

I guess what i'm trying to figure out is if it's worth it just to continue to operate with my network the way i have been through IG/FB/text/call and then use someone like Liondesk for the colder leads that typically come in or if there is some type of CRM out there that isn't super expensive that doesn't feel as impersonal.

I'm a fan of Monday CRM, $8 per seat per month with a 3 seat minimum.

It depends on what your goal is. I’ve been a single agent and done what you’ve done, and now we have a brokerage with 50 agents and property management.

If you want to stay small and simple, look for small and simple.

If you want the best, look at Boomtown

What does per seat mean? So essentially $24 a month?

not sure if i want to go the brokerage route yet but having a buyers agent would be awesome soon. What’s the cost of boom town and would it be worth it if i had A few agents under me?

@Harrison Sharp - like any other crm its only worth it if you use it.

If you plan on hiring agents I’d recommend thinking more long term. It’s definitely more expensive than Monday, but it’s real estate specific.

It’s a big investment, but it’s definitely been a tool that helps us grow.

I have a biased opinion as I'm a CRM Business Analyst and Administrator.  I can say from experience without our CRM in the crash of 2006 the company I am with would not have survived.  Each seat is a license and you'll need to purchase a license for each user.  I happy to answer any question you have, I'm pretty much used all the major CRM's that are out there.

Hey Harrison,

Full disclosure, I work for ForefrontCRM so I'm 100% bias to our system, haha. That said, regardless of who you land with I think a CRM can and will take your business to the next level organizationally which will absolutely lead you to more deals. There are a ton of CRM's out there, but it sounds like you're looking for something simple enough to use, that has a personal touch, and will keep leads from slipping through the cracks; which is why I chose to speak up.

Our model of CRM is one that gives you a birds eye pipeline view of all existing leads which enables you to be able keep track of all leads at a glance, and walk them through your personal workflow as they progress. We do offer automations such as drip campaigns, but are very big on making sure that any automated communication is highly personal as to not come off sounding robotic whether it's in text or email form. Part of our solution to that issue is every time someone responds to a drip campaign the lead is put back into your pipeline view so you can more personally follow up with them.

Feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to connect more!
