Okay for Realtor to Disclose Personal Info from MLS?

I am a wholesaler and am working on building up my list of cash buyers. I have heard from most people that the best way to build a cash buyers list is by making friends with a RE agent and having him/her look up on the MLS the cash transactions that have taken place in the city within the past 60 days. I would then contact these investors with a yellow letter asking if they are interested in being added to my buyers list. If they give me info on what they are looking for, I can find deals that specifically match their needs. My question is is it okay for a realtor to look up info about cash buyers on the MLS and then provide all of the info of the buyers (name, address, what they purchased, etc) to a third party? I want to make sure I don't put a realtor in position where they could be liable for anything or possibly lose their license.

If such information was meant to be public it would be listed on the public side of that listing. Buyers are not listed on the MLS. Sale contract information from past sales is confidential. Asking a Realtor to contact people to see if they would authorize the Realtor to release privaye information sure is asking alot, putting the Realtor in a very odd position if they would even entertain the thought. Can you imagine the out come for a Realtor and Broker for disclosing client information.....does that even pass a sniff test???? :)
