What to do 4 Months Before Starting?

Hi, I just finished my New York State real estate course. I will be taking the state exam at some point coming up.

I am a student at Rochester Institute of Technology and plan to attend school while also working as a real estate agent in the area.

I have about 4 months until I am actually going to be back in that area because I am currently working an internship. Does anyone have suggestions for what I should be doing in preparation for these 4 months before actually beginning work? I am currently trying to educate myself on surrounding areas and scripts, but I feel like I can only do so much while in Michigan.

@William Sheppard If I was starting out as an agent and my goal was to use my license more for sales than investing I would become a buyers agent on a successful team. Notice the word SUCCESSFUL, that is where you need to do your research on who is crushing it sales wise in your area and take it from there.

Not only will you get more leads by being a part of a team like this, but you will be exposed to a lot more transaction situations which you will learn a great deal from. Not to mention the training you will get also. Sure your split may be less than if you went with a smaller brokerage as an independent agent, but doing it the independent way you will have to scratch and claw for every dime you make and most importantly you will not be learning fromthe successes and failures of other agents.
