eXp Realty in Charlotte, NC

Hello everyone!

I'm a newly licensed agent trying to decide what firm to associate with. I've been leaning towards KW Ballantyne area but have recently discovered eXp Realty and studied their model and am pretty torn.

Both seem like great options however being a hands on learner I feel like having the office environment with warm bodies to engage with will be beneficial for me personally.

My question is does anyone have any experience with eXp here in Charlotte? I'm curious what the presence is like here and if there is an office space or team atmosphere anywhere in the area. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

in the FWIW file..  to me a beginner in the industry needs few things to get launched.

    1. a large warm market you can go to right away.. those with big extended families and your the only realtor is a huge bonus.. like Sunday my wife went out to a 2nd cousins house and listed it.. then will sell them a new home when this one sells.. she has 300 or so direct relatives in Southern WA and northern Oregon.. its a huge advantage for her..

    2. If you don't have that warm market.. I have seen many agents do well in the team concept.. IE get on a top producers team for a few years.. make money as they hand you leads.. let their star power get you in the door. Once you have our base put together you can launch on your own.

    3. Sales and marketing training..  now Keller will have some nice tools I don't know about EXP  ..  But this is where top agents need to spend money on some guru's  not the get rich guys..  Ferry,  Floyd Wichman these have value.. My wife was a trainer for Floyd in the 80s.. his programs are still relevant today..

Bottom line its not an easy business however if you can get your first 5 to 10 years in you will / or should be doing most of your work by referrals.. then its hands down one of the best business's out there for the cost of entry freedom of your time freedom to do deals..  Also keep in mind unlike wholesaling where your only as good as your last deal.. Agents will make life long client investor relationships.. I know many of my partnerships I do today are with clients I sold something to 10 to 30 years ago..
