Learning about a new market

Hello BP Realtors!

I'm going to be moving to Orlando somewhere between late May and mid-June, and I want to get my license and become an active agent as soon as I can once I get there. I'm not currently licensed now, so this is a whole new realm for me. I got licensed up here in Pennsylvania back in 2016, but I never hung my license with a broker for family/personal reasons. Anywho, I'm hoping to be as prepared as possible before my move and am looking to do research in advance. What would be the best way to learn about the market from up here in Pennsylvania? I'll be visiting for a week in March so I could go to some open houses and such while I'm there, but honestly I'm not sure what I'm doing. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!

@Tristin Lysogorski I went to Rollins College in Winter Park, which is a suburb of Orlando. Very nice neighborhood. High end houses. And student rental possibilities. I’ve been an agent for 18 years in Providence, RI. I manage a team. I think this is the best way to get your feet on the ground in this business. Guaranteed money and learning opportunities. One thing I wished I did early in my career was ask the higher end agents in my office if I could do open houses for them or cover for them when they were on vacation. I could have created a higher end clientele from the get-go. Good luck!!
