I have a question for all real estate agents.....What do you think about these new companies like open door, reali, and the other companies that cut real estate agents out? Are they effecting your business? Do you think these companies can effect your business? I'm in the process of becoming and agent just have to pass my exams and was seeing and hearing about these companies and it bothered me.. Thanks for reading happy holidays!!

I do great business but focus on commercial real estate. The main differentiator is NOT what commission rate is being charged. Those potential clients tend to be only transactional and focus on who is giving the lowest fee at any given moment. In other words a USER.

Where a broker/agent can outshine the competition is the cultivating of a relationship with clients and maintaining that TOP OF MIND status with them. This can strengthen a relationship and make it harder for the client to do business with anyone else. Often communication and follow up is poor from brokers and agents. The ones that are in the top 5 to 10% tend to have great follow up even after the transaction and are constantly learning to get better at their craft.

15 years in the business I have seen many companies come and go. They have been saying for decades brokers and agents are going away but it hasn't happened. When clients are investing millions into a commercial property they do not want a robot. They want someone helping them with experience and knowledge to help find a great property and properly analyze the investment.

Just like a homeowner there is a big emotional component to the buying and selling process. They are not just buying or selling a house. This is about big life choices that can impact them today and into the future. Take care of people and be authentic in your relationships and the money usually follows in the process.

I am looking at 7 figures in commissions for 2019. This does not include my syndicate deals as a sponsor. Take care of people and do right by them. If you can do that you are ahead of majority of the people out there in this world. Lot's of people just looking for  a quick buck anyway they can get it and not authentic. They do not realize people can see through to their true intentions and it is a turn off. When people find someone doing things for the right reasons and the heart is in the right place it can be refreshing to them because they are constantly being sold stuff by sleazy salespeople all the time.
