TX RE exam - Realistic studying expectation

Hi BP!

I’m enrolled in the OnDemand Kaplan/Brightwood TX RE licensing course and exam prep. I’m a stay at home mom with a two young toddlers and a husband who is gone 5 days out of most weeks. My study time is limited to an hour or so mid-day and a couple hours at night. My goal is to finish this in the next 8 weeks as I really want a lazy vacation (might as well be honest!). Is that even possible or am I kidding myself?  Modern Principles I is taking forever and it’s a bit depressing, honestly. Any tips or tricks to help speed this up?

And unfortunately funding for babysitting isn’t really in the cards after having our rental vacant six months and several expensive learning opportunities in the current place.

I’d love thoughts or encouragement from people who have done this before!

Hey Kate! I signed up for online real estate courses (real estate express) with the same hopes you have...that I could knock it out in 6- 8 weeks. I had to burst your bubble but that did NOT work out for me, and I dont have 2 little ones at home. I worked pretty diligently on mine, I never went a day without at least doing SOMETHING for school. I would recommend keeping up your night time studying but also try to get up an hour or two earlier to get some time in too if you really want to knock it out quicker. It took me 6 months, if I worked my butt off I couldve done it in half that. It can be done, just be diligent! Good luck!
