Advice in finding a Sponsoring Broker in Chicago

Hello all, I just recently passed the Broker Exam in Illinois. I live pretty close to the Northside of the City. I need to find a sponsoring managing broker that I should work for. Can someone recommend which managing broker I should try interviewing for? Also, I have googled questions to ask managing brokers. They all seem pretty standard. Are there any questions that someone would recommend that wouldn’t be make sound like a newbie? Thanks, Adeel

Adeel Makda I have to agree with John Warren here. Before anyone can truly answer this, they need to really know what your short/long term goals are and what you want out of your brokerage.

Personally, I’ve been a broker since 2004 and am with Berkshire Hathaway in Lincoln Park. If you’re looking for high end training and leads, then you’ll want to jump on board with one of the bigger brokerages for sure. The catch is that your cut will be less than what a smaller brokerage can offer you financially. Definitely a dilemma many of us face starting out and after years in the business.

My cell is in my signature and am always up to chat and give some advice if needed. Otherwise, best of luck in the career. It’s a great one for sure! 😊👍🏼
